Beaches of Grande and Piccolo Pevero in Costa Smeralda
Sardinia, an island of unique charm, home to high-calibre seaside resorts and breathtaking landscapes, is the favourite destination of thousands of people who want a balance between fun and tranquillity. Areas such as the Costa Smeralda are able to host thousands of tourists every year in its exclusive locations such as Pantogia, Porto Cervo, Golfo Pevero and Cala di Volpe.
In the northeast of Sardinia, just south of Porto Cervo, there is a bay of immeasurable charm belonging to the municipality of Arzachena, the Gulf of Pevero. One of the most renowned bays on the Costa Smeralda, crossed by the La Pedralonga river and overlooking the enchanting panorama of the Li Nibani islands. For this reason, the area is highly sought after by nautical tourism and is frequented by sailors and boaters, thanks to its easy anchorage and the conformation of the seabed.
This conformation has favoured the creation of many small reserved coves but above all of two enchanting beaches, namely the Grande and Piccolo Pevero. Read on to discover the secrets behind these two one-of-a-kind attractions.

The Beaches
The Piccolo Pevero beach is set in the central part of the gulf, preceded by a residence, tourist complexes and villas for rent by the sea. On the beach, it is possible to find both some bathing establishments for the rental of sunbeds and umbrellas and a completely free area for those who prefer to lie down on the fine sand. On the beach, you can refresh yourself at the kiosk or enjoy a meal seated at the seafront restaurant. The seabed is shallow and sandy with a crystal clear sea with emerald and blue shades. Furthermore, the orientation of the beach ensures that it remains sheltered from the winds coming from the West and from the South.
The beach of Grande Pevero, a short distance from the Piccolo, is the tourist destination of many famous people and just as many paparazzi. One of the most exclusive destinations on the Costa Smeralda, preceded by a Mediterranean maquis that populates the pine forest and the dune system that transforms into white fine sand on the shoreline. The sea shows shades of green that alternate with blue and the crystalline and transparent colour of the shore. The sandy and shallow seabed is suitable for children and allows you to enjoy the beach with relaxing walks in the water while admiring the Li Nibani islands in the background. Furthermore, behind the shore, there is a small pond called "La Padula" which allows bathers to practice birdwatching due to the different species of birds that visit it to drink. Finally, the Grande Pevero is well sheltered from the south winds, allowing bathers to escape from the south wind on the hottest days.

The Attractions
After more than 50 years of history, one of the main attractions of this locality a few kilometres from Porto Cervo is the famous Pevero Golf Club, the oldest golf club on the island, very popular among golfers via the privileged position. Indeed, its spectacular view of the enveloping expanses of green lawn overlaps the blue landscape of the sea and golden granite. In the background, the Nibani Islands complete the panorama by interrupting the horizon.
Born in 1972, the Pevero Golf Club has all the necessary services for amateurs and professionals, such as a swimming pool and a well-equipped gym. Our guests love the feeling of peace they find once they arrive in our seaside villas in Sardinia. In fact, the combination of a beach holiday that is linked to the dynamism of physical exercise is capable of provoking sensations of pure well-being. For this reason, the Pevero Golf Club will give you a unique experience thanks to its courses surrounded by Mediterranean scrub, immersed in the quiet of a completely uncontaminated landscape.
From the Pevero Golf Club, it is possible to venture on the guided path of the Pevero Health Trail, capable of offering a unique perspective for exploring the Costa Smeralda. The route connects the Gulf of Pevero to Romazzino and Cala Liccia through different types of trekking routes. The Relax path, about 7 kilometres long, will allow you to explore the old paths and ancient dry stone walls along the coast and rediscover the rural life of the place through the paths of Monti Zoppu. The alternative route, also about 7 kilometres long, takes the name of Energy as it can be travelled by bicycle and has various fitness stations. In fact, you can both explore the Costa Smeralda and keep fit, even on vacation!

How to get there?
The Gulf of Pevero can be reached via the provincial road 59 from Porto Cervo towards Arzachena. Once you reach your destination, you find yourself in front of a fork that separates the Piccolo from the Grande Pevero, both equipped with car parks a few steps from the beaches.
