In this section you can discover the perfect villa in Santa Teresa di Gallura for your needs.
The town has an interesting history, linked to that of the Savoy family and the Kingdom of Sardinia. Santa Teresa di Gallura is the northernmost point of Sardinia: a little further north are the Straits of Bonifacio and Corsica, with which the Gallura has a strong bond.
The town is visited in high season by tens of thousands of tourists, who also enjoy its nightlife. It is an unmissable spot for anyone visiting northern Sardinia.
The village was already known in Roman times. It is assumed that the city of Tibula, a very important crossroads, was located in this area. The modern center has noble origins: it was founded by Vittorio Emanuele I of Savoy himself, in 1808. The king himself designed the layout of the town.
The village center develops around two natural inlets: Porto Longone, where the tourist port is located, and the Rena Bianca beach, the splendid city beach.
Famous throughout the Mediterranean are Capo Testa and the Valle della Luna (Moon Valley): one of the most northern and wildest spots in Sardinia. It is an epic place, where granite rocks have assumed anthropomorphic shapes and the most varied forms as a result of thousands of years of erosion. The mistral and the water have sculpted natural artworks, with lunar appearance.
The so-called Valle della Luna is a legendary cove, famous for its striking beauty of the rocks, and since in the past decades it has been a meeting place for hippies.
Among the main beaches in the area we highlight: Rena Bianca; La Marmorata; Baia Santa Reparata; Rena di Ponente e Rena di Levante; Cala Spinosa; Valle dell’Erica and La Licciola.
